How It Began..

I can still vividly recall the first self-help book I ever picked up. I was just 16, wrestling with anxiety like it was an unruly ghost that had taken up residence in my head. Back then, I didn’t have a clue about where it came from, why it had chosen me, or what triggered it. It was like this unwanted visitor crashing my mental party, and I was determined to get to the bottom of it.

I remember buying this book about anxiety, and it was like a lifeline. It gave me insights into what anxiety is, how it operates, and some possible reasons behind it. And go figure – it worked wonders. I didn’t become an anxiety-free superhero overnight, but I did learn how to face it head-on. Knowledge became my armor, and I felt equipped to deal with it.

Since then, I’ve devoured more self-help books than I can count. This genre of books is amazing if you are facing a life challenge, like love, finances, spirituality, motherhood, social interactions, you name it. But even when I am on cloud 9 and feeling unstoppable, I always am reading something that is going to contribute to my inner wisdom, inner calm, and continue the momentum.

Let me tell you something about books – they find YOU. If you’re reading this, something brought you here, and it’s no coincidence. One of these reads will resonate with you at the perfect time, or it will guide you to something similar that’s meant for your current journey. Remember, you’re not just turning pages; you’re embarking on a journey of self-improvement, empowerment, and inspiration.

My top 10 favorites might seem like a quirky mix, but they’re the ones that had me glued to the pages, feeling excited, and believing that I could be the best version of me. So here ya go!
